Re: Sprint forcing premium data on ALL SMARTPHONES
I'm with Darren on this. I've never been screwed by Sprint in the 6 years I've used them and always been fairly compensated when problems came up. Sometimes the service has been a little lame and the solution (like Dell service) has been to try an unnecessary hard reset, but that's what MyBackup is for.
When I started paying the $10/mo extra for my upgrade from TP to Epic last November, I told them that I had never been able to get better than 1X data networking in my home-office, and sometimes not even that. They sent me a free Air Rave the next day. And my boosted signal strength is now easily worth the extra monthly $$.
Also, Sprint, I believe, was the only large wireless company that would not let the government hack into their user base in the Bush/Cheny years. They get points from me for that.
I've been paying the extra $10 all along anyway so I have a strong WTH feeling.
