[Lost in Translation]

I'm pleased to have found this forum and look forward to trying your ROM, Rick!

I have a noobie question about installing this ROM that I didn't see covered in this thread: In order to install it, will I need to first root my phone in any way? Or does the install procedure in post #2 cover the entire process?
