Email storage issue

I have a Touch Pro 2. A problem with the emails and/or attachments seems to have started. Even though I have the check box for store email/attachments on the storage card, it appears they are being stored on the device memory. I found directions to change the string values in the registry under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\Inbox\Settings for AttachPath and PropertyPath and directed them to the appropriate new folder I created on the storage card. The problem I have is with older emails which were already on the device. Even though I copied the information from the folders on the device to the folders on the storage card, the message text and the sender/recipient information is not appearing when I open the email message in the message program. The email appears in the in-box and appears to be fine, but once I open it the only thing that comes up is the subject and the attachments, there is nothing in the body or the "To:" area.

Is there a step I have omitted or is there a way to change something in the registry to rectify this issue?
