I may flip it on now an then on a long trip to see how far to an interchange, or to the destination, but in general, there is something in me that doesn't want to surrender my navigation entirely to it, any more than I would surrender math skills to a calculator.

Hmm... What exactly were you taking to the midwest in a small plane under the cover of darkness? Did your trip begin in a warehouse in San Ysidro? LOL.
