Yea, I've noticed it's more frequent with this kernel. Basically if the device is sleeping, you'll have to touch the screen to wake it up. Didn't know the kbd slide trick, thanks!

Haven't spoke with WisTilt2 in a couple of days, but I believe this is his next fix. Hopefully I'll get that new kernel today, no promises tho

Unfortunately (or fortunately, depending on how you look at it) this is a reported bug, I have it open on the bug tracker. Definitely an odd one, and not very frequently reported - thanks for pointing this out, because if your phone doesn't sleep - your battery will die MUCH quicker!
