Thanks for the speedy response. LOL yeah i have been researching/reading rooting/flashing almost non stop today.
I guess I thought it ment to uninstall sync from the phone, not my comp. I don't have htc sync installed in my comp, so I guess I'm good.
usb debugging is on.
If I run into any problems I'll ask more questions.
