I hope everybody had a great holiday!
Sorry for the long absence, I finally got the chance to get away for a few days and hang with the family! I am still trying to catch back up, but here are a few answers to the questions over the last couple days.
-Installing that old version of swype over the new one in the ROM and uninstalling it will not remove Swype from the ROM. It will however remove it from the input list and most likely break the new version so you can't use it later. This will not affect the new VM text alert.
As far as the voicemail text messages, it is embedded into a dll of the latest HTC 1.8 messaging. I have been working on getting rid of it for months with many great minds, still no dice. Basically there are two options with HTC messaging; use the older packages without the obnoxious vm text alert and deal with a much, much slower messaging service, or, use the newer and faster messaging and just deal with the texts. I am still working on fixing it, but please don't expect it anytime soon.
-The last two options in HTC messaging Inbox/Menu, are SMSGroup and Search (in that order). They will be fixed in the next release.
-Sending a pic from the camera is a major bug that was caused by including WM messaging. I am looking at a way of still including it, but with working send pic from camera.

-Not sure if I will be making a COM 2 (21916) ROM anytime soon, but who knows.
-For those having issues with the default wallpaper still showing up at boot, you can change this at Start/Settings/Home, click on "Browse" and select your wallpaper. Task bar and softkeybar can be changed by; on the Home tab, select menu/Set Wallpaper/Skin Taskbar and Softkeybar, select your wallpaper and soft reset.
-SIM card does not need to be unlocked, just installed
@sonami,
-The program you are looking for is called WiFiNetwork.exe in the windows folder. Just create a shortcut for it and throw it in Windows/Start Menu/Programs. Also, WiFiSettings.exe will do the same, but it is the ugly WM version of WiFi.
-sceadwe also suggested getting a Twitter account to keep everybody updated and I thought that was a great idea. I now have a Twitter account @
Project: Teya [Twitter] Beware, I am new to Twitter, so give me a chance to figure it out a little.
Hopefully I answered most of the questions that arose over the last couple days. If I missed anything, let me know and I will do my best to get an answer to you.
