I would like to know if there is a way to add my Epic to this network so I can access files, movies, etc that are on my desktop from my Epic through Astro or any other file manager app.
ES File Manager has a good implementation..Astro can do it too but you need to get the SMB plugin..

Though you might need to copy it over to play it...to play it seamlessly is what Allshare is suppose to do

One thing though..when you say network between them you mean adhoc network or via router? if via router your good..if you got an adhoc then you need to install the Ad-Hoc wifi mod.
