Adding Epic to home wireless network

OK, I know how to connect my Epic to my wifi to get high speed internet on my phone. That is not what this questions is about. I also have a wireless network set up between my desktop and my laptop. I have over 100 movies saved on the HDD of my desktop and my kids watch them on the laptop thanks to the wireless network. I would like to know if there is a way to add my Epic to this network so I can access files, movies, etc that are on my desktop from my Epic through Astro or any other file manager app.
