Well, I finally did it. I broke down and traded around for an EVO with another user on PPCGeeks. I called the number chilwill mentioned above and they were super nice. Answered the phone immediately to. She knew exactly what I was needing to do, and explained (without me asking) that I was indeed able to go back to the $30 SERO plan at anytime on my old phone, or any other SERO friendly phone. She also assured me there was no contract extensions, and I could change phones whenever I liked. They must have gotten hammered with all these questions, cause she gave me that info without even having to ask for it.

So, I did indeed break down and succumb to the sirens call of the Evo. I'm paying an extra $20 per month, but so far I like it. I dunno about when the bill comes though. LOL.
