Ikillen i think you hit it on the head!...sprint is getting cheated out their money, of course like any other business they going to eventually catch up and put a end to the "free ride" so I bet that when Gingerbread gets released its going to be SUPER hard to root it, they planned on making money of this hotspot feature and they going to do anything to make everybody pay to use it.
