I just remembered my co-workers phone is on a stock Sprint ROM, so it has nothing to do with the pre Android ROM.

Yea, we've pretty consistently proven that WinMo ROM has no effect whatsoever on Android.
I unfortunately have the exact same radio version as you do... What's odd tho, I noticed my CE OS version is older than yours - but I'm running EnergyROM from 12/1...Weird. Ah well, I'm trying these files now. Unfortunately it doesn't happen on every single call, seems to happen only on calls that matter
