If you are rooted and using Inxane's kernel and you want to tether wirelessly, the best way to do it is to use a program called Barnacle. (Not sure about other kernels like Squealjoy.)

The trick is that you have to use the legacy version NOT the version in the market. Obviously, after installing do not update the program.
