Most of those probably compared the Evo on 2.2 Android to the newly released Epic on 2.1 Android(with some reports of GPS issues.)

The Epic beats the Evo in Specs alone (superior GPU/CPU/Screen), not to mention it now has 2.2(though not official,) with a flawless GPS.
The epic does beat the evo in specs but what do you except when the epic was released after the evo? If it didn't have better specs then that would have been pointless. Even with better specs they are still both great phones. Not one is better then the other. Its all about your preference. I myself like htc and htc sense over samsungs ui. But my friend likes the samsung super amoled which I think looks good but think some of the colors on epic are discolored. But both epic and evo both beat iphone. At least for as long as iphone stays on att. But hey, its just an opinion.
