I do get company email direct to the phone via Exchanger server. Is this some security feature my company initiates even though it is my personal phone?
Thanks

If your company is paranoid as mine, they set up Exchange Server to "own" your phone once you set it up for Exchange access. They can remotely wipe your phone if they think it is lost/stolen, and when you quit/get fired. Mine also imposes a ridiculous password requirement (7-character minimum, at least 1 number, mixed case, 30-minute timeout, etc).
I "declined" since I only wanted to get calendar updates (too much of my business email is "spam" for my job role, so I have to run a bunch of rules to weed out about 90% of it, and they are "client side", so they only work on Outlook on Windoze PC's - unlike the Lotus Notes we migrated from that would run my rules on the Lotus Domino server to send the thinned out load of email wherever I wanted...).
Now I just forward the dozen, or so, weekly calendar items I want to my private POP3 email Id that I can process with the WM email client that can "accept" invites. Still "my" phone as a result (along with VZW of course
).
Only way to break loose from that which I know of is a hard re-set (and do NOT set up a link to your Exchange account of course).
