Once you return the phone, assuming you used an upgade, your gonna have to get them to reset your upgrade status... if you opened a new line to get the device, youd be closing said account when you return the phone @ Sprint.. the would have to open a new account again @ Radio Shack... Sprint is not going to allow you to return the EVO, keep your number live without a device on it, till you goto Radio Shack and get a new one... the system just doesnt work like that... all which may not be able to happen in the same day or anything like that.. depends how long Sprint takes to clear up everything and update the info...
Do you know something we dont about the Knight?? youll be well past the 30day window by then, so youll wont be able to return the Evo for a Knight then....
Sounds like rooting and the EVO might be a little much for you If you really want the Knight or some phone in the future, just return the EVO now and wait for what you want..
