We give users more than their fair share of freedom, to say whatever they like. As long as its not flaming. BUT... when you are told to stop, then stop. If not you get banned. Very simple.

Opinion-based threads can only go so far, because they are never settled and opinions are rarely changed. That's true on every Internet forum.

I don't think you appreciate the responsibilities of a moderator, tbh. Knowing when to stop a conversation thats going downhill is not an easy call.
