Info is only a few days old(err, atleast the ROM is), so dont feel bad if you missed it...From what ive read online, the Z4 One-Click Root
should work on the Optimus One line(TMOs Optimus T, Sprints Optimus S, and VZWs LG Vortex)
LG Optimus S Gets Root and Custom ROM
and then heres a ROM solely supported for Optimus S
