Give it a chance. I spent 6 months debating the move to Android, and yeah, it took some getting used to. It sure doesn't have all the problems with WinMob, where you just about have to hack it just to make it work. Rooting is IMO essential. There are apps that only work with rooted phones like Titanium Backup (Which, BTW does everything SPB did and more) and it gives the opportunity to get rid of the bloatware. Give Android a chance, and you'll be amazed at the things it just does better.
