3.50 is firmware made to patch any kind of unlocking. As of 3.5 firmware only Sony approved USB devices are even recognized. That being said their is some evidence that looks good that their will soon be a 3.50 downgrades so that you can go back to 3.41 and be unlocked. Check this page out for information
