i remember when sprint had the htc ppc6600 and they said it would be upgradeable to evdo with a firmware update. It never came to be. I think Sprint will say we gave you 2.2 for free so if you want 2.3 then purchase a new headset or just jail break the device. I think sprint will say get a new device to make money off the full purchase price of the phone. I think its about time to stop discounted phones and contracts all together and sell the OS updates to cellphone users just like Microsoft does for the desktop.

After about one and half years i am back to a smart phone. I love the EVO I have the EVO:

This may have the updated Sense Ui as when i hit the home screen I get a bunch of smaller screens on the screen showing a preview of all the tabs if you will.
