The GPS thing is a bit complicated..so you know the GPS chip inside is not the same as the other Galaxy S phones...its same one as the Droids.
As of 2.1 its hard coded to always show 30m when using the GPS, in 2.2 thats gone and I have seen 40m, 30m, 20m, 10m..but so far thats indoors.
Some people have reported locking issues that are usually fixed if you reset the phone.
