Doesn't putting the phone in disk drive mode simply allow me to read/write from the SD card rather than internal memory? That doesn't help me, the phone itself doesn't recognize the SD card so I can't write the pim file to the card or read the cab file from the card. Therein lies the problem.

The phone makes a bong sound when I insert the card but when I look at the SD card info the phone tells me there is no SD card. Very annoying.

Is it possible to plug the phone into the computer in a way that I can write directly to the phone's internal memory?

What about transferring files via bluetooth? Can I transfer to/from the phone's internal memory via BT? My Mac is the only computer I have w/ BT, can I transfer files via BT with a Mac?

Is there a file containing my SMS?

TIA!
Well, if you don't have the sdcard in then when you put it in disk drive mode and connect to your pc you can access files on your device.
I didn't think of this earlier but you might want to upload your contacts and I believe sms as well to Microsoft MyPhone. Then clear storage and restore files.
