I have phone numbers stored as plus coded numbers on my phone (for example US numbers are +1 xxx yyy-zzzz). I am able to make phone calls to plus coded numbers after using the registry fix mentioned
here. The phone automatically dials 1 xxx yyy-zzzz when dialing from the US and adds 011 before the country code for international numbers when making a phone call.
However, when I send an SMS to an international number which is stored with a plus code, it doesn't go through. If I replace the + with 011, it goes through.
Looks like the registry fix is working only for phone calls and not for text messages. Does anyone know the fix for being able to send text messages to plus coded numbers? I do not have Assisted Dialing on my phone and am unable to locate a CAB file for it, though I am not sure if that would help either.
