I would suggest you NOT use the latest RUU to flash your evo to stock rom. I did that to take my phone in this morning. Now I want to go back to Root to continue "playing" with my phone and it seems this latest stock version 3.30.651.2 is not "rootable" at the moment at least. So im stuck with stock rom! BLOWS!

I would suggest you use a previous version -3.29xxx since those have already been cracked and rooted in the past, otherwise you will be stuck like me, trying to find a solution...
