ive still never pinpointed why this happens, but it happens to me often enough...

just soft reset the phone while the device is on the charger.. when it turns back on it should recognize it for what it is, a charger..

works for me everytime... ive been running nrg for a few years now on and off and this happens alot on his roms to me
