You have a valid point. Maybe I should have elaborated my question in my OP, although there was a hint. What I really want to do is to be able to pick up the phone while driving. I didn't specifically mention this in my OP because it's not good practice to talk on the phone while driving in the first place and it is illegal in some parts of the world - not mine yet.

But removing the soft lock and resorting to the power button does result in accidental switch-on's and mayhem like unintended launching of apps that may follow, like you mentioned. So I was thinking if I could assign double-clicking of the "talk" button or "long press" of the volume button, I could answer the phone easily even while driving.

Is it possible?
