Using Total Commander, still can't connect to local shares anyway. The DNS issue leads me to speculate it could be a further WINS / NetBIOS resolution issue for the share name (e.g. \\192.168.2.10\share_name ), but that doesn't make a whole lot of sense because WINS only supposed to be applicable for the server names not the shares. Besides, my NAS is statically assigned and registered in my DNS forwarder. . .
So here's the question: Does Windows Mobile Professional have WINS / NetBIOS protocolls? If so, can they be enabled/disabled?
It's not important enough for me to pay for Resco only to find THAT doesn't work either.

Sigh.
Got it.
Firstly, Windows Mobile doesn't support IP addresses, only UNC / NetBIOS names.
Secondly:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\SecurityProviders\NTLM\LmC ompatibilityLevelClient set to 0. Documentation

1 should work, but I haven't tried as my WLAN is finicky. I really need one of those nice Atheros 5006 card and re do my antennas.
