Crap sorry, forgot that the ##778 thing is slightly wrong...
For sprint, ANY ##XXX number needs to be dialed with a trailing #... so you never actually "send" these numbers. For example,
##778#
As soon as you enter that last #, whatever magic that is supposed to happen, happens (on SPRINT, anyway) - no SEND needed.
