Yeah, I think it's the main way that people use multi-tasking on Android actually, on all phones.

Also, I daily use Android, and in order to keep things from being too slow, I only have two homescreens, and don't list any apps on those screens to avoid having to cache their icons.

It's a shame the devs decided to change this, because it works great the way it was, and now we just have reduced functionality.
