Hey all, I decided it was time to upgrade to a new phone from the TP2. I decided to give up my regular sero plan for the sero premium and pay the extra $10 4g fee and went with the epic. I will end up getting it for $130 before taxes.
Here are some pre-requisites:
- (possibly optional) you are out of contract (it may still work... you can always try)
- you have to be eligible for the spring $150 upgrade discount
- you are polite on the phone

- (probably optional) you have sero premium account
Here are the costs and discounts:
-Costs-
$499 - phone
$18 (waved) = $0 - upgrade fee - ask them to wave this, its a stupid fee anyways.
$12.99 (waved) = $0 - overnight shipping - tell them you always have gotten free overnight, you will get it free
-discounts-
$50 - Tell them you have a code called SAVE50, this gets you a $50 credit off your purchase, wont go into effect for 1-2 billing cycles. Google for this, their is talk all over the web.
$70 - Also tell them you got a mailer that said you would get a $70 credit if you renew your contract. The sales people won't be able to give this to you, but after you buy the phone, they can forward you to "care" who can. I barely said anything and now I have a negative $70 in account. Google for this, their is talk all over the web.
$150 - standard spring upgrade discount
$100 - stupid mail in rebate... but hey, money is money.
Total:
499+(18-1

+(12-12)-150-100-50-70 =
$129 for a Spring Samsung Epic*
I will hopefully be getting my phone today... but more likely on monday.
*NOTE: I was charged something like 35 for tax also... even though I ordered over the phone (booooo). oh well. So final cost will be something ~$150
EDIT: I called this number: 888-882-4030 ... might be the business sales line so you may have to be sero person to call it.. I dont know.
Also, if you want to do this from a SERO account, you need to call 888-211-4727 to upgrade your sero to sero-premium first.
