Ok I wanted to give this a try and install the latest stand alone version, but I have a couple questions about recovery. When I boot into recovery it says "Android system recovery" at the top of the screen, has the whole menu of options below that (all of this is yellow and the background is black), and it says "build not set" at the bottom of the screen. So it seems I am not using ClockworkMod or Amon RA recoveries, but I am not sure what I am using. And I am not really knowledgable enough yet to know which one is the best to use and why. It sounds like by using the ClockworkMod recovery, we can update our ROM (stand alone) without losing our data and current settings. Will this work with all versions of recovery? Where do you go to get the latest version of each compatible with the EVO? It sounds like the paid version of ROM Manager may have the option to use either one, is that the way to go?
Thanks,
