I was on the "blur is crap" bandwagon, and a "give me vanilla froyo" whine bag. So I flashed a "custom rom" for my X (no custom kernel obviously - just de-blurred)- I hated it.
Some of the blur stuff I don't care for. But like you said- I don't have to use any of it. I discovered that a lot of the blur stuff- I DO CARE FOR.
