I read the infoworld article last night, just crap, funny how some websites / hating bloggers like to get their licks in...

Article should have stated Sprint plans to replace the 3 empty seats with other representatives they are choosing soon.

While clear does need more capital to expand, I hope Sprint makes the right decisions since they have the upper hand at the moment.

As far as what will happen to wimax in the US (worldwide is already everywhere wimax.org), it might end up as people have stated, "wisp" level / type of service - but then you have wimax 2, which was showcased in japan by Samsung, which beat lte & tmo speeds.

All I know is wimax is cheaper to build and clear / sprint / Nextel have more spectrum than at&t / VZW, so the outcome overall should be interesting to say the least...

P.s. wimax is also being offered currently via Comcast in some states, and time warner (either now or soon to follow).
