Typically, in order to put a device on Boost that's not allowed or approved (the samsung moment for example..) it requires taking some information off of a 'donor phone'.. then, putting this information onto the 'non-approved/allowed' phone. The last step is changing the ESN on the non-allowed phone so that it is the same as the donor phone. Afterwards, the carrier 'sees' the donor phone on their network instead of the 'actual' phone.

I'm not going into any more detail than what I have already due to the forum rules. This is vague enough to be allowed, but any more specific could get me in hot water. I think you can follow what's happened here.

The TP2 is easy and 'allowed' although not approved. To put a TP2 on boost, you first activate your account w/ an approved (real boost) device, then you call customer service and tell them you'd like to do a device swap on your account. They ask for the new MEID, you give them the MEID of the TP2 and they activate it. No illegal or shady antics.

Hope this helps
