I don't know if it's the same for a Mercedes, but I had to unsync Facebook before my BMW would discover/recognize my phone. Afterwards it scanned fine and I resynced Facebook and my car's bluetooth still picks it up.. so try unsyncing facebook and then try to connect then after it connects to your car, resync facebook.
