all you have to do is go in the comm manager and switch the data toggle to off. no need to go into each and every individual program. that's just too cumbersome if you really want data off. that's what i did when i took my phone to the Philippines a few months ago. turned off the data and i was all set. when i came back...i just switched it back on.
