Try hard resetting your phone with the GPS Rom still installed, sometimes a hard reset after completing flashing solves a lot of headaches. Then dont dump tons of software in at once, load them one at a time and see what happens. The evdo issue has been seen by many, give it some time after a hard reset, and if you THENneed to call your carrier, just tell them you hard reset your phone. And NO, they do NOT have to support your phone once you flash a custom Rom.
