Yeah I never heard anything solid on it for 3rd party apps. I know that the native apps (music player, etc.) WILL multi-task, so you can listen to your music library while running other apps, browsing, etc. So I'm sure they CAN add support for 3rd party apps to multi-task.

The kicker is that the apps that are currently being developed won't have any multi-tasking support, so there will be a delay from when the OS supports it, and apps releasing that actually take advantage of it. Al though I'm sure devs will have a stockpile of ideas waiting for multi-tasking support (I know I do... lol).
