This is really more for testing and getting it ready to flash directly to NAND. In its current state, this project only uses the NAND for booting. All of the files are still stored on the SD card.

Once it is ready to flash directly to NAND, there will be some obvious performance benefits.

I was under the impression that SD was actually faster then NAND (at least, thats what I was told by some devs) (some benchmarks pointed that out). Was that information not true, or are there more factors then pure read/write speed (like latency/overhead etc?)
