I'm not sure how data and network connectivity are two separate things... Unless you're referring to network connectivity as simply making/receiving calls.

Assuming you're CDMA, you need to have that force cdma command in the startup.txt. Also, use haret.exe to launch Android, do NOT use MGJDroidUtil. It causes issues with the startup, and I don't think there's an update for it yet... but hopefully the devs update it soon so I can quit telling people to not use it because it is a nice utility when it works correctly
