As Carla said wipe everything twice. To my knowledge, there is no way to uninstall the os. The new ROM simply write over there other data. The reason why you have to wipe everything because all of the user data needs to be deleted. If you dont wipe, one of 2 things will happen:
1. **best scenario** The new rom boots up with all of the apks from the other rom and all of your installed apps. Contacts and txts remain. I think you may run into issues in the long run though

2. Continuous bootloop (take out the battery, go to recovery then nandroid restore, the back into recovery,WIPE everything then flash new rom)
