I made a thread on how to easily root, but it was deleted by one of the mods. Here is a link that will guide you step by step as well as give you some good pointers. Just follow the directions and I guarantee you will be rooted without any issues. Please, for your sanity's sake make a Nandroid backup before flashing anything custom. This way you can easily go back to what you were running. The guide even gives you the steps to doing a nandroid backup.
