wish I didn't have to pay $100 to replace this thing when i'd really like an epic =P
hmmm. i just thought about something... back when i had my alltel mogul i began to have this issue. i had that particular phone over a year and gave it pure hell though. after i got my sprint tp1 and ditched verizon right after the "takeover", i opened up the mogul and noticed the ribbon cable going to the screen was torn just a little. i had forgot all about that... i took very good care of my 9 month old tp2, never dropped it at all. so that could be the cause of this issue since it seems to be an issue with the screen. the power button turns the screen on but for some reason, the screen doesnt fully turn on. a small rip in the ribbon cable could probably cause this...

$100 deductible? do you not have TEP? and the manufacturer's warranty should still cover it if your tp2 is under 1 year old.
