Personally I don't mind resistive screens and realistically resistive screens are a better technology...capacitive screens though give the "impression of being better" but realistically it is not the case. Though in your scenario that is where multi-touch comes in as you can zoom with it. (Though resistive screens are capable of multitouch theoretically as well..was just never implemented)
