I think they were referring to the actual HTC Task Manager that comes on 21xxx builds. when you tap task manager under the Notifications, it brings up the FDC version. with 21xxx versions its shows ram usage in percent, shortcuts to the task manager and memory settings, and a list of all apps open. I don't think you're going to find this unless you use MightyMike's Full Force, he incorporates 21xxx mods to the taskbar so the startmenu can still be accessed from tapping the top left and the HTC Task Manager from the top right. I don't think any other chefs will do this

I can make changes to x-button, like setting it to open quick menu, but that just makes it start arkswitch
I switched back to the original start menu, and switched back, but still no quick menu love. It does come up when I hit the start menu hard button.
Anyone know how I can get this working again without a reflash?

this is my exact problem. I changed Start Menu Tap to open up the start menu w/o thinking and now when i set it to compact start menu it doesnt open anything. like he said it still opens when pressing the hardware start button just not the onscreen button. I believe there should be a way to set the start menu to open an app that controls the compact start menu and then it opens the CSM...what app (exe i assume) should i choose and what is the location?
Overall thoughts of the Compact Start Menu, its def nice to save the memory but i dont like how it rearranges a lot of things especially in the settings menu. plus the eye candy of it versus the original start menu is no change to me because i think both are kind of bleh....when i was reading about disabling and changing the start menu function to save RAM i was hoping they were talking about
THIS...it looks a lot better and more like its incorporated into sense. I hope NRG can encorporate this instead at some point...
Edit: Running 23xxx standard reference with GTX added on top myself
