I'm not 100% sure about this, but I have seen this subject pop up here before and I am pretty sure that HTC widgets only work on HTC devices because they are part of the Sense UI. If you just want to replicate the clock/weather widget, spend $1.99 and buy Beautiful Widgets. There are several threads about it around here. It is highly customizable and IMHO better than the clock/weather widget from HTC.
