I understand your concern and I thought about it as well. I think the dynamic benefit that this app gives helps to take some stress off the cpu by allowing us to set it so the max speed is achieved in short bursts. I think that if the cpu was overclocked constantly it would put too much stress on it. Also, I think that it is probably better to set things up so the lowest speed is not really low like less than 200mhz because I would think that jumping from lets say 80mhz to 800mhz in an instant would result in a huge temperature variation which would probably really stress the cpu. Just my opinion though.
