As for the rest of us still on the TP2, while Android seems to be kicking the TP2's butt lately, TP2 devs may still have a few tricks left up their sleeves. NRGZ just tweeted a possible breakthrough when it comes to the performance of our device. By replacing the start menu with a custom replacement (that looks like the 6.1 start menu), they've been able to free up 50-60 megs of RAM

He plans to release it in a ROM later today. Hopefully this will fully roll out to the rest of the TP2 ROMs as time goes on. This update should really help in terms of speed and performance


UPDATE: You don't need to wait for this to be ported to a ROM in order to benefit from it. Head over to this post over at XDA to see how to use Colossus's start menu remover cab, and how to replace it with a much less RAM-hungry alternative:
