Re: So.... TP2 a dead platform?
Well, there's a whole lot of things to consider other than having the "coolest" phone. To each their own.
Sprint, the last I checked, still was cheaper $ (especially with their various discounts) than Verizon and especially AT&T. So unless you're willing to pay extra for the privilege of using iPhone, it's out of the picture.
When I was shopping for a phone back in May / June, Sprint had the TP2, the Moment, the Hero and the Evo. I didn't like the Hero, and Moment has had many complaints about battery life. So it's Evo vs TP2. I am _not_ paying $20 per month to use 4G. Sorry.
My only complaint about TP2 (so far, knock on wood) is that it gets laggy sometimes, when too many apps are open and Sense sucks up ram. OTOH, it has a great battery life, a stylus for when I just need to jot down a quick note, and a nice keyboard. If Sprint stops their silly $20 premium on 4G and there's no major problems with hardware or battery, I will consider it or its replacement when my wife's phone needs to be upgraded in Feb. If not, it's going to be a tough choice.
WM6, as far as I am concerned, is great at doing what I want it to do. I really don't care what somebody else is using.
